Vinicius William Sales de Lima, professionally known as WIU, is a multi-talented Brazilian rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Born on February 16, 2002, in Fortaleza, Ceará, he grew up deeply inspired by Brazilian rap groups like Tribo da Periferia. Showing a natural aptitude for audiovisual work, editing, and digital production, he launched his first independent projects on SoundCloud at just 14 years old.WIU officially joined the 30PRAUM roster in 2019. Initially recognized for his sharp technical production skills, he played a fundamental role behind the scenes by producing six out of seven tracks on Matuê's record-breaking 2020 studio album, "Máquina do Tempo". This major success served as a launching pad for his solo performance career.Often described by fans as "the last romantic of trap" (o último romântico do trap), WIU is celebrated for seamlessly blending energetic trap beats with emotional, romantic lyrics and contagious melodies. In late 2022, he dropped his acclaimed debut studio album, "Manual de Como Amar Errado", which produced monumental hits like "Coração de Gelo" and "Felina"—the latter gaining massive global traction after being played by soccer star Neymar Jr. during the World Cup. Together with Teto and Matuê, WIU also topped national streaming charts with the hit record "Vampiro", cementing his status as one of Brazil's top digital hitmakers.
