Em, a non-binary person out for four years, begins Testosterone therapy, sparking conflict with their fiancé Spencer, who struggles to accept being seen with a partner who isn’t a woman. Em leaves him and finds support in Rose, a trans friend reclaiming her music career. They begin dating Ana, a non-binary performance artist who awakens Em’s sexuality, but Ana’s bipolar struggles strain the relationship, leading Em back to Spencer.
