On February 6, 2023, a devastating earthquake struck Türkiye, changing thousands of lives forever. Just Like Before focuses on the physical and emotional recovery of children who lost their limbs in this disaster. It follows their struggles and resilience as they rebuild their lives in different parts of the country, highlighting themes of solidarity and hope. The film centers on the story of Aliye and Yaren, two young girls undergoing rehabilitation at the Children’s Kindness Center (ÇÖİM) within Çukurova University in Adana. The audience witnesses their shared journey of healing, their friendship, and the strength they draw from one another. After completing therapy sessions, they travel together to Hatay, discovering the city’s rebirth while deepening their emotional bond and mutual support.
