Kirby Gamel

Kirby is an Austin based cinematographer, director, and colorist. She is most known for her work as the series DP for two seasons of the Emmy nominated PBS series Modern Pioneering. Her cinematography primarily spans short and episodic documentaries, alongside editorial work for publications including Business Insider, Rolling Stone, Inc., and Uproxx. Following her early directorial work on the short films Shrimp (2017) and Yellow Balloon (2018), she is currently preparing to direct her debut feature film alongside her ongoing work as a Director of Photography.
