Hutch Vicaire (born November 16, 2004) is an Indigenous Canadian filmmaker and screenwriter. His interest in filmmaking began at an early age, when he used his parents’ camera to create stop-motion projects and short films with friends. While studying at the University of New Brunswick, he began developing his craft more seriously through narrative short films. His directorial debut, October Blues (2025), marked the beginning of his official filmography, followed by The Black Sheep (2026), which is currently being submitted to festivals. His latest film, Lessons in Stagnance, is now in post-production. His work often explores the emotional weight and impact of human relationships, with a focus on intimacy and authenticity.
