Born in Ecuador, Franklin Carpio's journey unfolded across borders when his parents relocated to the United States when he was merely two years old. Settling in Pittsburgh in 2005, Franklin enrolled at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, a pivotal move that paved the way for his future in the realm of creativity. In 2008, he graduated with a Bachelor's in Entertainment Design, marking the culmination of his academic pursuits. Immersing himself in the vibrant tapestry of Pittsburgh, Franklin has made this city his home. He stands as a proud member of the Local IATSE 489 union, contributing his skills as a grip to feature films and TV shows that find their way to Pittsburgh. His behind-the-scenes expertise in the entertainment industry aligns seamlessly with his passion for storytelling. Beyond his contributions to Hollywood productions, Franklin wears the hats of a director and cinematographer, crafting his own cinematic narratives.
