木下圭介（丰川悦司饰）本来在大型建筑公司工作，妻子去世后，他从大公司辞职转到下町的金属加工厂当技师，从此和独生女儿美雨（芦田爱菜饰）就住在东京下町的这家小型金属加工厂“中村产业”附近。独自守护着女儿的他在工厂老板夫妇以及同僚们的关照下过着平和的日子。然而某一天，他却忽然被查出患上了阿兹海默症。他开始越来越健忘，面对这样的现状他不知该如何开口跟美雨说出真相。父亲的患病改变了父女二人的生活，但加深了二人的亲情，父女二人必将携手跨越障碍，找回失去的幸福
