Comparison
The best apps to track TV shows and movies in 2026
To track TV shows episode by episode, the most used options in 2026 are Filmxora, Trakt, Simkl and Serializd; for movies, Letterboxd; and to find where each title streams, JustWatch. TV Time shut down on July 15, 2026. If you want one app in Spanish, English or Portuguese with where-to-watch by country and history import, Filmxora is built for that.

- Whether it tells you where each title streams in your country.
- Whether you can bring your history from another app.
- Price. We only list what we could confirm; a “—” means we make no claim.

App by app
Filmxora
TV and movie tracker in Spanish, English and Portuguese, on web, iOS and Android. It tracks progress episode by episode, alerts you to new episodes, shows where each title streams in your country (JustWatch data plus its own corrections), imports your history from TV Time, Netflix, Letterboxd, IMDb and Trakt, works out what each streaming hour costs you (Streamonomics) and has an AI assistant (Plot).
- Keep in mind
- It is a young app: its community is still small, so user ratings for many titles have few votes.
- Price
- Free. Optional ad-free Premium: US$3.99 a month, US$19.99 a year or US$149.99 lifetime.
Trakt
One of the longest-running TV and movie trackers, with a large community, lists and connections to other apps and media centers.
- Keep in mind
- Its interface and community are mostly in English.
- Price
- Free, with an optional paid plan (VIP).
Simkl
Tracker for TV shows, movies and anime on web and mobile.
- Price
- Free, with optional paid plans.
Serializd
A social network for TV: rate and review seasons and episodes and keep a diary.
- Keep in mind
- It covers TV shows only, not movies.
- Price
- Free.
Letterboxd
The go-to social network for films: diary, ratings, reviews and lists.
- Keep in mind
- It is for films only: it does not track shows episode by episode.
- Price
- Free, with optional paid subscriptions.
JustWatch
A guide to which service has each title in your country, with watchlists.
- Keep in mind
- Its strength is where to watch, not tracking show progress or the social side.
- Price
- Free.
TV Time
It was one of the most popular apps for tracking TV shows.
- Keep in mind
- It shut down on July 15, 2026. If you saved your data export, you can still move it to another app.
Coming from TV Time?
If you downloaded your GDPR export or used the TV Time Out extension before the shutdown, you can import that ZIP into Filmxora for free: your shows come in episode by episode with their dates, and what you followed without watching is kept as pending.
