How to import your IMDb ratings into Filmxora
To import your IMDb ratings, sign in and open imdb.com/list/ratings, open the three-dot menu and choose “Export”. Download ratings.csv and upload it to Filmxora: the movies and shows you rated are marked as watched, and the 1–10 score is converted to 5 stars.

Which columns we use
| IMDb column | What it is used for |
|---|---|
| Const | The IMDb ID: with it we find the exact title on TMDB. |
| Title and Year | Name and year, in case the ID is not enough. |
| Your Rating | Your 1–10 score, divided by 2 (a 7 becomes 3.5 stars). |
| Date Rated | The date the title is saved as watched. |
| Title Type | Whether it is a movie or a show. |
Keep in mind
- Shows are imported as watched with your rating, but without episode progress. If you want to track where you are, mark it from the show page.
- Use ratings.csv. If you upload your watchlist export, its titles would be marked as watched.
- If you rated single episodes on IMDb, untick them in the preview: Filmxora imports movies and shows, not individual IMDb episodes.
Frequently asked questions
How do I export my IMDb ratings?
Sign in and go to imdb.com/list/ratings, open the three-dot menu, click “Export” and download the CSV when it is ready.
How is the IMDb score converted?
IMDb uses a 1–10 scale and Filmxora uses 5 stars, so the score is divided by 2: an 8 becomes 4 stars and a 7 becomes 3.5.
Is my IMDb watchlist imported?
Not as a to-watch list. The IMDb importer is designed for ratings.csv; if you upload the watchlist, its titles would be marked as watched.
Are shows imported with their episodes?
No. The IMDb file does not say which episodes you watched, so the show is imported as watched with your rating. You track episode progress in Filmxora.
